Château de Bonaguil

Built in the late 15th century by Baron Berenger de Roquefeuil. A stunning fortified castle with seven turrets and six towers, one of which is classed as the most beautiful in the country.

Château de Castelnaud

Castelnaud is perched high on the rocks offering magnificent panoramic views over the Dordogne valley.
There is a collection of 13th-17th century weapons and armour, audio-visual aids, video games and life-sized reconstructions of war engines. All helping you to discover the art of war in the Middle Ages, as well as the lives of those who lived at Castelnaud.

Comments: There is lots of climbing so wear sensible shoes! Well worth a visit with river close by for picnics and canoeing.


 

Château des Milandes

Built in 1489 the château des Milandes enjoys magnificent views over the Dordogne valley.

It was home to the legendary Josephine Baker, and houses an extraordinary homage to her life, with wax statues, stage costumes, photos and memorabilia.
